Achtung: Das Ganze ist leider nicht bestätigt, aber es weisen mehrere unabhängige Quellen daraufhin, sodass es sich (hoffentlich) nicht als dummes Versehen herausstellen kann. Das größte Problem ist wohl, dass Reggie vor einiger Zeit sagte, dass Pokemon der erste Online Titel werden würde.
Es scheint so, dass Blazing Angels - Squadrons of WWII das erste Wii- Spiel mit vollem Online Modus ist. Das UbiSoft Game soll bereits am 20. März erscheinen.

Bei Gamefly.com steht ein längerer Absatz über das Spiel mit folgendem, interessanten Absatz:
"[..] Use the Wii’s wireless function for epic multiplayer dogfights or to team up with other squadrons for co-op missions. [...]"
GoNintendo überprüfte außerdem, ob man in dieser längeren Beschreibung von Gamefly einfach "Playstation 3" gegen "Wii" ausgetauscht hat. Dies war allerdings nicht der Fall. Der Text scheint einmalig nur für diese Sparte zu existieren.
Außerdem gibt es noch eine weitere kleine "Bestätigung" von UbiSofts UK Seite. Dort steht:
"Multiplayer for up to 16 players online (with one new PS3/Wii mode)
Engage in head-to-head dogfights or cooperative team play between squadrons on huge maps with large formations."
Nichtsdestotrotz liegt keine offizielle Bestätigung vor. Wir werden wohl noch ein wenig warten müssen.

Inzwischen meldet GoNintendo folgendes:
"The good folks at Wii-UK were nice enough to shoot an email my way. They got in touch with their Ubi rep to discuss the possiblity of Blazing Angels online. Their rep confirmed that the title will not feature online multiplayer in any way. Looks like it’s time for IGN and others to update their info!"
So viel zu diesem Gerücht...

Sollte das stimmen, ist Blazing Angels gekauft. Werde es sonst wohl nicht kaufen, aber es soll ja nicht schlecht sein und ein Online Modus wertet das Spiel für mich ganz klar auf.
