EA soll Relaunch von NBA Jam für Wii planen

05.01.10 - Der Basketball-Klassiker NBA Jam von Midway soll exklusiv für Wii von Electronic Arts neuaufgelegt werden. Das will die ESPN von nicht näher genannten Quellen erfahren haben.

NBA Jam kam 1993 in die Spielhallen und wurde für Super NES, Mega Drive, Jaguar, uvm. umgesetzt. Es kämpften jeweils 2-gegen-2 Spieler, teilweise auch als bekannte Persönlichkeiten wie der damalige US-Präsident Bill Clinton. Neben den hervorragenden Animationen der Spieler stach besonders die Sprachausgabe hervor, welche die Turniere mit "Boom-shaka-laka!" oder "He's on fire!" untermalte.

Eine offizielle Ankündigung von EA Sports steht noch aus, und soll angeblich gegen Ende des Monats folgen.

Dito, aber der Charme des SNES-Titels wird eh unerreicht bleiben. Vom Stil der Figuren stell ichs mir wie das letzte Wii-Fifa vor

Yeah.Aber bitte in 2 bzw 2,5D.Dazu noch ein ordentliche OnlineModus.Hach das waren noch Zeiten als man obwohl man den 1.Teil hatte nochmal n Berg Kohle für die Tournament Edition ausgegeben hat . Cool waren damals auch die "Videos" in der Halbzeit.So richtig Film und das auf dem SNES und ohne CD-Addon(na gut waren nur kleine Fenster und nur 3Sek aber damals hat das geflasht).

Ich hatte NBA Jam zweimal fürs Super Nintendo. Einmal selber gekauft und einmal bei einem Gewinnspiel der Nintendo Fun Vision abgestaubt. Ich fand das Spiel saugeil, alles so schön übertrieben. 1993 ist mal ordentlich lange her. Da war ich 13. Die meisten von hier gab's da noch gar nicht.

NBA Jam (das erste) hatte ich damals auf dem Mega Drive und habe es geliebt. Die Sprachausgabe, besser gesagt die Sprachfetzen ("Reeeeejected", "BOOM-SHAKALAKA","From Downtown", "Jams it!"), sind Kult pur. Aber ob das damalige Feeling auf die heutige Zeit übertragen werden kann, bezweifel ich auch etwas. Wenn, dann aber wirklich nur in 2 D bzw. max. 2,5 D. Na ja, optimistisch bleiben. Bei anderen Titeln hat es ja auch halbwegs geklappt (Street Fighter, Punch-Out etc.)

NBA Jam in Verbindung mit dem EA Sports Logo wirkt irgendwie befremdlich. Ich werde es aber trotzdem mal genauer im Auge behalten.

Sollen ja 2D-Bilder sein... Hoffentlich sieht das auch ordentlich aus, lesen tut es sich irgendwie nicht.

Sind ja dann normale 2D Fotos/Bilder oder? Dann könnte EA doch eine Gratis App...tschuldigung...GratisDSi-Ware rausbringen mit der man eigene Gesichter fotografiert ,mit dem Stylus bearbeitet (zurechtschneiden , auf bestimmte Vorgaben per Schablone anstimmen etc) und dann als Gesicht im Spiel nutzt. Jepp-das sollen sie machen. Ob die noch Vorschläge aus der Bevölkerung annehmen?

Ich finde die Pics absolut grauenhaft. Hoffentlich reisst das Gameplay was, ansonsten sinkt mein Interesse am Spiel gen Null.

Ich find das passt ziemlich gut zu NBA Jam. Die haben halt das Original noch einen Tick mehr überzeugen, als es eh schon war, sehr konsequent^^
