Deutschland: Markt für Konsolenspiele wächst um 30 Prozent

09.01.08 - media control gibt bekannt, dass der Spielemarkt in Deutschland 2007 um ca. 30 Prozent gewachsen ist. In immer mehr deutschen Haushalten stehen Spielkonsolen, wovon besonders die Softwareabsätze profitieren.

Im Segment Unterhaltungselektronik haben Spielkonsolen eine immer größere Fangemeinde. Die Umsätze mit der dazugehörigen Software kletterten 2007 auf Basis des wöchentlichen Panelmarktes auf Euro 554 Mio. – ein Rekordwert. Der Zuwachs betrug 29,1 Prozent im Vergleich zu 2006, wie media control GfK International mitteilte.

Damals lagen die Umsätze bei 429 Millionen Euro. 'Die Dynamik im Markt ist ungebrochen. Konsolenspiele sind als Freizeitmedium fest etabliert', sagte Ulrike Altig, Geschäftsführerin von media control GfK International.

Gewinner des Jahres bei der Software war der Nintendo DS: 5,1 Mio. Spiele wurden für den Handheld verkauft; mehr als eine Verdopplung zum Jahr 2006. Mit 32 Prozent Anteil an der Gesamtmenge aller Softwareverkäufe stieg der NDS 2007 zur Nummer zwei auf.

Weiterhin führend Software für PlayStation 2 (PS2) mit 35 Prozent Marktanteil, die allerdings 12 Prozent im Vorjahresvergleich einbüßte. Die Verkaufsmenge aller PS2-Titel verringerte sich von 5,9 Mio. auf aktuell 5,5 Mio. Stück.

Bei der aktuellen Konsolengeneration lag Nintendos Wii vorne. 7,5 Prozent betrug der Anteil von Wii-Spielen an den Softwareabsätzen. Microsofts Xbox 360 und die PlayStation3 von Sony kamen im selben Zeitraum auf 6,0 bzw. 4,9 Prozent.

Insbesondere das vierte Quartal 2007 stach heraus. Software im Wert von Euro 239 Mio. wurde in den letzten drei Monaten 2007 abgesetzt. Im dritten Quartal waren es noch Euro 112 Mio. Meistverkaufter Titel 2007 war Dr. Kawashimas Gehirn-Jogging. Platz zwei ging an Dr. Kawashima: Mehr-Gehirn Jogging. FIFA 08 für die PS2 landet in der Endabrechnung auf Rang fünf. Dahinter das beliebteste Next-Gen-Spiel „Wii Play“.

Computerspiele-Software blieb hinter der positiven Entwicklung im Konsolensegment zurück. 2007 beliefen sich die Umsätze auf Euro 267 Mio. Zum Vorjahr ein Verlust von 3,6 Prozent. Die Verkaufsmenge sank um 7,6 Prozent auf 11,9 Mio. Stück.

1 Mio. Wii Fit in Japan ausgeliefert

09.01.08 - Nintendo hat von dem Sportspiel Wii Fit 1 Mio. Einheiten bis zum 06.01.09 in Japan ausgeliefert. Das meldet Mainichi Newspapers, das Spiel kam am 01.12.07 in den Handel.

Wii Fit ist nach Angaben von Nintendo das sich am schnellsten verkaufende Spiel seit Wii Sport.

5 Mio. New Super Mario Bros. in Japan verkauft

09.01.08 - Media Create gibt bekannt, dass Nintendos Actionspiel New Super Mario Bros. bislang 5 Mio. Mal in Japan verkauft wurde. Das Spiel kam im Mai 2006 in die Läden.
