Nicalis bringing 1,001 Spikes to 3DS eShop, Wii U online shop
- remake of 1000 Spikes
- enhaced version features new art, new graphics, new music and sound
- includes multiplayer mode
- supports 4 people local multiplayer
- this is on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS
- expect a rather punishing game
- a trailer was shown that featured 20 different ways you can be killed
- hitting the eShop first
- due out this year on 3DS, aiming for the Wii U launch as well
Hier mal ein paar wirklich positive Reviews der Original-Version:
Scheint also in die selbe Kerbe wie "Super Meat Boy" zu schlagen^^.

Gaijin Games hints at Wii U launch date, Runner 2 on Wii U, moving away from BIT.TRIP to something new
A portion PushSquare interview with Gaijin Games' Alex Neuse and Mike Roush...
PS: With a pushed release date to October or November and the Wii U releasing around then too, does that mean that you’ll try to finagle your way on there?
AN: (Smiles) I wonder. I wonder if that means that. Let me put it this way: we have a Wii U dev kit, and our game is coming out around the time that system launches, so that would be pretty cool.
PS: What excites you about the Wii U tablet controller?
AN: I have to think of it in terms of Runner2 now — thinking about it broadly would be too much — but if we were to do a Wii U version, what if you could have a pick-up in the game that reveals hidden bonuses and stuff that you can’t see on your screen but have to hold the controller up? You’re still playing but it’s sort of like an X-ray vision.
PS: So sort of like a CommanderVideo detective mode.
AN: Yeah, exactly! (laughs) You get a Silent Scope kind of feel. But anyway, if we do a Wii U version I don’t know what we would do with the controller. I would want to do something unique, but honestly we haven’t figured that part out.
Colors! 3D talks sales success, more Wii U version interest, planned updates
A portion of a Siliconera interview with creator Jens Andersson...
S: What’s next for Collecting Smiles? Do you plan to update Colors! in the future, or are you moving onto something else?
JA: I will keep working on Colors! for a bit longer. The reception to Colors! 3D has been so phenomenal and the sales seem to be doing well, so I hope we can do an update that adds a few things that didn’t make it into the original version. I also want to bring Colors! to a few more platforms, like the PlayStation Vita and the upcoming Wii U as well as finally get it out for Android and iPad, which are both way overdue.
S: Can you say anything about future improvements you hope to make to Colors! 3D? For instance, Photoshop-like functions to recognize and fill shapes for the less artistically gifted? Or do you feel that’s something that Colors! was never really created in mind with?
JA: Exactly. Colors! is designed to be very focused on painting. It’s been very interesting to develop something along with the community, as you always risk trying to please what everyone and that can really make your product bloated. It’s a challenge to filter through all the suggestions and feedback and only add the things that fits the app, to still retain the simplicity and focus of it as a painting application. A good example of this is a Line Tool. A lot of people have asked for a line tool, and while that would be a great tool for many people, we believe that this would not add to what we are trying to do with the app.

Amadeus the Wizard
Despite his ongoing research for finally learning the Fireball spell, the Wizard's talent is for conjuring peculiar boxes, and occasionally even planks. He can also levitate small inanimate objects.
Amadeus is married to a lady by the name of Margaret. They have three children, all of whom know the Fireball spell.
Pontius the Knight
The Knight is an eager champion of the kingdom, the protector of the common man with a great sense of justice. Armed with his sword, his shield and the powerful Storm Hammer, he's a formidable fighter.
Pontius's great weakness is food. This shows around his waist.
Zoya the Thief
The Thief makes her way up to rooftops and over walls with her trusty grappling hook. Zoya is not so concerned about family or duty, but she is content to be a hero of the Trine, for she loves adventure.
Zoya's love for treasure, however, often leads her astray.
